“Where’s the BMW?”
“It was rented. I returned it as, now we’re married, we can share your Audi.”
The bride frowned. “Problem. I took the Audi back too.”
“Then buy a car. You’re rich, right?”
“Not exactly. What about you, Mr Hot-shot Businessman? You buy a car.”
“I’m not buying anything. Actually, if I don’t get some cash soon my business will go under.”
“So you’re not rich either? Maggie said you were.”
“She said you had money.”
They both considered Maggie, last seen waving off the two most heartless gold-diggers she’d ever encountered with the discarded bouquet.
