The admirable trend to 'self publishing' with as nudge or two from Goodreads has enabled the discovery of many gems. A trend away from 'self editing' could improve and assist many. It helped me. I note there are hundreds if not thousands of books out there about or referring to Harvey Weinstein and his ghastly proclivities. I suppose the availability of POD makes simple any revisionist editing or updating. Apparently similar accusations are now made in the media about Richard Branson.
As my book 'Sometimes Music is My Only Friend' contains some strong criticism of Richard's business activities I guess my thoughts might also turn to such revisionist considerations.
My concern, much like the removal of 'now viewed despicable' public statues, and the censoring of school books, is that re-writing history with the benefit of hindsight , has traditionally been the work of less than democratic regimes and individuals.
