Planning Versus Passion

Every author battles with this, whether you are led by the plan you set out for a book or if you follow passion when it inserts itself. There are moments when by design or pure dumb luck passion leads you to an amazing rift in a chapter. While in others if you didn’t stick to your plan, passion would lead you and your reader astray.

For readers you should understand we authors might write three paragraphs in order to insert one line of dialog or a section of drama. It is the meandering path followed, in order to bring this to you. We hope you had loved it as much as we had.

For authors, sometimes we as readers wished you’d simply get to the damn point. We have a keen sense of where you are going but we tire waiting for you to arrive.

Therefore, the battle wages, in more words or less; we meander to bring you our best.
