After Exile’s Not-So-Secret Lesbian Romance

There’s only so long a book blurb can get and still be considered catchy or concise. There’s only so much visual information a book cover can contain, and for much the same reasons. A shame, really, because An Emperor for the Eclipse (the first book in my After Exile series) is home to more than one ongoing romance. Sure, the cover shows our hero, Raothan Ga’ardahn, and yes, the blurb on Amazon teases you about him and Niquel. But another couple gets almost equal romantic page time in the b...

Lorraine Since you were happy with my past comment, which in turn had me grinning from ear to ear, it has given me the incentive to try again even though public speaking/writing gives me the sweats...lol.
Although I am hetero, I would first like to say to all the homo-phobes out there that they really don't know what their puny, one dimensional minds are missing. Adding these layers of sexual experiences to epic fantasy only augments the already erotic charge you create flawlessly. This is epic fantasy after all so why not push the reader to delve deeper into the taboo as well. I think it was a great concept to add to a series. That being said, and if I may say, I think in order to fully embrace this concept and level of erotica, there should be MM or MMF relationships included as well. It makes me think of the saying "go big or go home"......no half measures. Like you and Tiffany Reisz's making a deliciously erotic book-baby...lol. (Btw, your books really should be on listopia's "smart smut" list) Sorry, I digress.... Anway, for me, fantasy is all about taking me [the reader] outside the norm to experience levels of world building and subsequent feelings I could never dream of conjuring. That is what I feel happening with your work and growth I see in you as an author. I am quite enjoying the journey, so I hope you continue to push the boundaries of our minds and take us to infinite levels of the imagination....and in this genre, yes, I think carefully written yet hard core erotica has its merits. Your scenes are super hot but NEVER remotely trashy or worse, credible publications disguised as porn....that makes a world of difference in the finished product. I am no editor or even a worthy critic, just a new fan, but I hope this feedback was what you were looking for.

Hey, I really appreciate this! For what it's worth, the FF romance in this series just sort of sprang out of the world and character building. It wasn't thinking, "OK, how can I include some lesbians in here?" hehe
While there aren't any prominently featured MM couples in After Exile, the next novella in Skull & Crossbone will be the romance between two men: Ellis George and Winters - they made some brief appearances in The Devil's Luck and The Maid and the Cook.
Getting back to After Exile, the main plot just doesn't have any more room for another couple to horn in (at least not and receive heavy page time), BUT, I do have a short list of erotic side stories based in that world, and one of them is between the mysteriously-gendered First Mediate Paxus, and Beresne, the First Purse. Those two have got secrets up to HERE! Heh.
All things on the table, I am pansexual, any and all genders and match-ups are a go for me to read and write. For me, the fun and sexual tension is all about personality and motivation. Body parts are incidental.
I'm very glad to hear you saying such things about my sex scenes. It is 100% my goal to make them a visceral, psychological experience, not just a game of Sex Position Bingo.
Thank you so very much for your comments again!
And now I should quit procrastinating and get back to the editing I'm supposed to be doing! Ha!
