Blade Runner became iconic for me from the first viewing.

The aesthetic, story and writing were, for me, epic, blending noir with science fiction. Even the soundtrack was unforgettable.
"A new life awaits you in the off-world colonies, a chance to begin again in a golden land of opportunity and adventure."That was so great, not because we were headed off-world, but because we were stuck here, in a cesspool of hopelessness. So great.
Neuromancer, by William GIbson, followed and suddenly we had a new genre: Cyberpunk.
High tech. Low life.
Ghost in the Shell would cement genre expectations as well as establish new canon, and then came
Cowboy Bebop.

I said all of that to say this: I'm really excited about my next book and series. I'll post excerpts and snippets on my Facebook page from time to time, although, I can't promise anything beyond the final edit.
