Monsters dwell here
The darkened skies quiet and littered with nihility.
No glittering ornaments delightfully sheltering the sheet as there usually is in days of youth and of play.
"Wake up,"
My unseen demons yell
I startle gasping. Blood pumps with utmost pressure.
"Who calls?"
The connection suddenly is lost
"Who comes through?" I quest further.
"Shush!"
The gloomy voice hushed
A deadly silence resides
What if a message attempted to make passage?
A defective intercommunication from a sage with golden knowledge to procreate to a fecund mind.
I shut my eyes once again.
Behold the disorderly twigs descending on my head. I close my eyes and fixate on the theatrical illustrations.
The ground moves
I leap
The walls start to crawl
I seal my eyes
And perceive in my mind’s eye, equations engraved in hands and tongues I never saw and ignored existed.
The manuscription on the dark sky, unfathomable.
I scry with my index fingers, grasping the remnants of the discerning words floating in a haste to fade away and disappear.
They dematerialize anyway
I sigh and dare to slumber
Only to wake up and face the same haze and demons. Same tasks and quests. Stuck in monotonous puzzles.
These demons contend in making me awake
Thieving restful sleep from me.
I relive it without meaning or decipheration. What is being requested of me?
Alas! I am their home.
For the seek to leave their home in no time soon.
