Wow. I don’t know about you, but I’m finding it very difficult to believe that we’ve reached the end of 2017. A year ago, The Secret Life of Sarah Hollenbeck was still nearly a year from publication, and I was chomping at the bit to get it into readers’ hands. It honestly seemed, at that point, like October 3rd would never arrive. And then, of course, time began passing so quickly as I worked on edits and review copies were sent out, and marketing seemed to become my life for a while.
And now, 2017 is very nearly in the rearview mirror. And though so much of the year is a blur, and it really is unbelievable how much has happened in twelve months, I also feel as if I savored every moment.
As I look back over the year, I’m just incredibly grateful. I’m grateful to my family and friends who believed in me and supported me, long before we knew if I would ever have a book on the shelves or not. I’m grateful to my editor and the entire team at Revell who believed that Sarah Hollenbeck deserved a place in the world. Of course I’m most grateful to the Lord, who not only made me a little bit quirky, but also decided to put the quirkiness to work, for His purposes.
And I’m grateful for you. Whether you read the book or not, whether you liked it or not…if you’ve been a part of the journey in any way, I’m grateful for you. Even if this is the very first time you’ve ever visited this website…you’re here now! You took the time, and I’m grateful.
