Fly by!

Greetings beautiful people!

Light, love, power and peace today darlings!

May your day be filled with Grace.

When I was struggling I used to sing Amazing Grace.

"Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see."

It was never really the lyrics. I always thought about John Newton, who wrote the verse. He was conscripted into the British Navy and there he saw the Slave trade first hand. The romanticized version of history sees him standing on deck, heart in his hands, looking up at the sky, reciting the words, as he realizes just how bad selling people into slavery is.

At the time, I wanted release from the despair of the 'epicness' of clinical PTSD, of looking after a two year old.

perhaps one day I will write of my struggle overcoming PTSD.

I still trigger, but these days I am better able to manage it. I'm finding a new normal, but it takes a lot of self love, self realisation and a desire to be someone better, to not let the past win, and to simply find another , a better you.

With love from my heart to yours, keep on reading!
