It's Published!
Well, The Everlasting Sunday has been released.
I spent the weekend at the Perth Writers Festival and had to acclimatise to strange and wonderful encounters: having breakfast with Michelle de Kretser; showing Helen Garner how to use the buffet toaster; and watching Alan Hollinghurst walk around the hotel in socks and sandals.
The most mind-bending experience though was getting to meet festival punters who had inexplicably come to hear me speak. Long conversations with amazing book-lovers about all things literary and non-.
All a bit of a dream really.
The book is out - there are rumours its even in the shops. Talk that people might have even bought it. Some even liked it.
Again, a dream.
