Brilliant, lyrical, with a story and characters that are ridiculously well-plotted and interwoven. With its nuanced exploration of family, motherhood, marriage, education and politics, it’s one of those books that make me excited about what we’re capable in novels. Easily one of the best, most compelling books I’ve read in the past few years. Absolutely recommended.
