Ironing Out One Glitch with Amazon
I routinely check my author page and book listings on Amazon. Good thing. I found one of my titles had gone missing in 2017 (and still hasn't returned, apparently because Mundania still has not rectified a problem that occurred during the transfer of titles from AweStruck's website to their new home at Mundania. )
This time, I found the paperback version of "Night Shadows" was migrating. It moved two pages away from the rest of my books under a general search, and had completely disappeared from my author page. Then, it disappeared from the general search as well. I contacted Amazon, and received, over the space of 2 weeks, several emails telling me they were still working on the problem. Finally, I was told to contact customer service. I told them I didn't want to do that. I wanted the problem resolved.
The paperback version of "Night Shadows" suddenly reappeared on my author page a couple of days later. That time, I didn't get any emails to notify me the problem had been resolved and/or the paperback version was now back and available for purchase.
The Kindle version is on a promotional, which will severely impact my sales but hopefully get more exposure to a wider reader base. However, not having the paperback available so soon after its release in February certainly didn't help my bottom line.
It pays to be vigilant. It pays to be the one little voice waving in a void. Evidently, it pays to be that one voice a lot faster than it does when it's a small press waving at Amazon, because "All That Glitters" is still missing from Amazon, although it's available through Mundania's website.
I'll be continuing to keep my eye on the Giant.
