Birth Streaming

When was the last time you heard someone plead guilty to a crime? Doesn’t happen very often under the U.S. Judicial system, does it? Think how much time, money and resource we would save if there was some degree of honesty in the plea. Maybe have the opposing legal teams sit down and figure out the best action to take based on the crime, criminal record, victims etc. In many (most?) cases, “Not Guilty” is merely the start of a long protracted battle of ridiculous technicalities rather than reason.

This little teaser was on my News and Updates screen. “Woman streams birth live on internet”. What? Needless to say, I didn’t click on the link, horrified at the idea. I don’t know about you, but for me - No Thanks. Johnny’s first pictures…

Speaking of web news. Don’t you find it a little more than irritating that most news items are incomplete without following a link. For instance: You won’t guess where a nuclear bomb exploded today! I know it’s the path to revenue, but I don’t want to click on that link and face intimate tailored commercials, even part of one you can click to shut it up after seven seconds. Printed media may be hard pressed these days, but it still holds a few advantages for non-ADHD readers.

In the category of Actual Information: Do you know about the rule of 72? If you divide 72 by the interest rate you are receiving, the result is the approximate number of years until your money doubles. Of course with inflation, it will be worth no more than it is today unless you are getting at least a consistent 4%, my guess. Good luck with that these days.
