Bought two new bookshelves, decided to consecrate them to fiction (and rearrange non-fiction books in other bookshelves, but that’s a job for another day). Immediately encountered the problem of classification, decided to go by what feels natural.
So my current classification of fiction shelves is more or less like this:
• Ancient
• Old classics
• Old crime / horror
• XX century classics
• Latin American
• Gombrowicz, Eco, Milosh &co
• Small books
• Rebellious books
• Lithuanian
• Good but normal
• Sick in a dreamy way
• Books about aloneness
• Sick in my favorite way
• Poetry
• Humor
• Other
Thought about the irony of coming up with this taxonomy while putting the Borges’ book in its designated shelf.
also, I have yet another (smaller) bookshelf dedicated solely to
• crime fiction,
if anyone's wondering
