Craziness: My Series Novels vs. My Stand Alone Novels

As the vagaries of scheduling would have it, I have a new private detective novel and a stand alone crime novel both out at the same time. Their covers and links appear below. Each book has been kicked around for several years in their different drafts, so it's not due to an explosion of creativity on my part.

The Zinc Zoo is a P.I. Frank Johnson Mystery. Frank has been hanging around for 12 years and 6 books now, starting with his short stories I wrote and published online. This title also marks a change of venue for him. He's come a long way since James Crumley blurbed the first book, Pelham Fell Here. Hardboiled trouble continues to beset Frank. That will never change, I fear.

Ask the Dice is my second stand alone novel after Lake Charles. ATD is a hit man yarn set in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. Of course, using the trope of a hit man would bore me to tears, so I did some different things without going over the top. I also built in the plot twists. The paperback edition is in the works, so right now only the usual e-book formats are available.

I hope one will catch your reader eye. Thanks for your interest!

Randy I enjoyed Lake Charles and feel I will experience the same with Ask The Dice. Not tried a series novel yet, but I'm OCD about reading them in order. I will get to them I swear. He says while looking at the teetering TBR pile out of the corner of an eye.

I had to look up OCD. It's still too early. Thank you for your comments. I hope ATD measures up, too. Have a good weekend!
