I don't mean to put a downer on this topic, but I'm finding it laughable lately that general advice for indie authors is: get reviews, make connections and get followers when Amazon's algorithms are deleting any reviews where the reviewer has even the vaguest connection to the author! It's like we're now supposed to choose between friending people who have reviewed our books on Goodreads and not friending them because their Amazon reviews will disappear!

It is a bit odd situation when it seems you have to remain strangers with authors and books you've read if you want to keep your reviews. We don't know what will happen in weeks and months to come. Luckily, Gisela is updating her books regularly and reviews are only one topic covered in this book. There is plenty of good advice on how to market yourself and your books on other platforms as well, including mass media. It's a book worth reading, if you ask me.
Cheers Bernard - yeah, I was going a little off topic, as I realise reviews are only one part of the process, but Amazon are getting stricter and stricter about this. And it does sound like that's a good book to read. I'm still getting peed off with genuine reviews of my books being deleted from Amazon just because I've once said hello to a reviewer though! :)
