I've partnered with Daniel Poon, a local Seattle artist, for my next major work: "The Solemn Sea." The poem has seven "movements," and is a meditation on (dis)enchantment that takes cues from Homer, Melville, Plath, and others. Daniel has begun work on icons / plates to accompany each section. I admire Daniel's keen eye, and deft aesthetic sensibility. We hope to publish this collaboration as a limited edition chapbook. In other news, ASMF: Second Edition is still slated for a September release. If my sources are accurate, a review in The Christian Century will arrive concurrently. Happy news indeed.
