Im so excited to have a new author's page here at Goodreads. I am a longtime fan of Goodreads, as I am a longtime reader. Growing up in a small town in the south, we had no cable. Instead I had lots of acres and a lake and a entire summers spent riding my bike to my favorite spot by the creek or down to the lake or even up into glades that opened into grassy meadows in the woods. I went where I had quiet and fell completely into whatever I was reading. Ready to be enveloped by adventure.
When I was about sixteen an English teacher told me that she couldn't read just anything because she did not have a very good suspension of disbelief. I had no idea what she meant because I had never had a problem letting my imagination takeover. I felt bad for her in that I felt my world would always be more open than hers. Today, older and wiser, I realize that she was just someone who thought differently than myself.
Today I hope that anyone who picks up one of my books will do so with an open mind and be ready to be taken on an adventure, just as I was when I was a young reader. Just as I still am today. Welcome to my author's blog, my readers, my friends. Queen of Swords
