Ditto on all of those, including the Alif sequel! :) I've found some other authors I really like by seeing what writers I like are reading, & I also just find it interesting to see what might be influencing them, get a sense of what else they enjoy, etc. Thanks for asking. Welcome back!
I personally quite like reading writing project updates and musings on the writing process, but any post of yours will be delightful!

I love just seeing what's on the an author's mind. I, personally, would love writing processes. I'd want to see what writers are struggling with in their writing
I enjoy knowing what helps a writer zero in on a plot idea which then becomes her next book.
I think that this platform helps authors know what is working and what the readers would like to see more of in their stories. Sometimes writers only see the art they are creating not what their audience is seeing. Please see my review I just posted for you, I loved my ARC of The BirdKing , and I hope it becomes the book of the year in Fantasy!! Bravo!!!

Authors can interact with each other and network!!
