We went camping the other weekend, and when I say camping please understand that what I mean is really only “camping.” We were at a campground in a cabin, so not really roughing it in the middle of the woods, but still camping. At a campground, even if I’m not in a tent or rubbing two sticks together, I maintain the “camping mentality:” I limit phone use, try to roast something over a fire, etc. Even in a cabin, you have to bring a lot of stuff with you for a couple of days.
But on the Sunday morning when others are checking out, you also get to see the insane amount of stuff other people bring to the woods: literally a guy was hauling a karaoke machine the size of a Coke machine over his shoulder. At what point are you really just moving in?
