I laid there in complete silence, my heart beating overtime; pounding against my chest as if it were trying to escape. Something didn’t feel right but I was to scared to move or even turn on the light. It was as if someone or something was there, I could feel their presence close by. I opened my eyes slowly and peered around the room, it looked normal and no one was anywhere to be seen, though I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was being watched. I searched for my slippers and headed over to the sink to brush my teeth, my mouth was foul and tasted like sulphur. I never gave it much thought as I ran the brush across my tongue, hoping to make my mouth feel clean. Pain came over my body as I stood there by the mirror, it felt as if there was something clawing its way through my body. I grabbed at my stomach and thought about the date, hoping it wasn’t that time of month. The pain got worse and soon it became unbearable. I leaned against the counter and gazed into the mirror what the hell was happening? I leaned closer to the mirror as I noticed my eyes were different, there was a glaze forming over them. It was dark and the colour was fading. I yelled for my room mate to come see but before a sound could leave my lips pain struck my body as if my heart was ripped out. Then it stopped, I stood in front of the mirror with no recognition of myself, It wasn’t me anymore. I now sat trapped in the back of my mind while someone or something now controlled me, what the hell was going on? Hell might be the what just happened…
