This week world leaders converge on New York City to gather at the United Nations General Assembly. Our New Zealand Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern is at the UN too, with her infant daughter. Jacinda is the first world leader to bring her baby with her to the General Assembly, because she's breastfeeding.
Jacinda is the third woman Prime Minister in NZ. New Zealand just celebrated 125 years of being the first democracy in the world to allow women the right to vote. Wish I could say it's all a rosy picture here for women, but there's a pay equity gap and domestic abuse not to be ignored.
Trump's there at the UN too, even though he says he despises the UN and all it stands for.
Speaking of people with massive egos... Bob Woodward's latest book, "Fear: Trump in the White House" has broken sales records for the publisher. The subject of Trump sure sells lots of books. For me, no thanks. I'd rather read a great novel.
