Come on a journey with me.

Hello, my lovelies.
Today I ask that you come along with me on a journey to become a lighter and more fit person.
Let me begin by saying that I am NOT a fitness pro. I am NOT the go-to for fitness advise of any kind, but I think I’ve come to understand what works for me. And I’m inviting you to join me on my trip to a healthier and leaner self.
This is what I’ve learned so far…
I cannot cut out sweets. The tooth is just too big. So, I’ve got to manage those cravings daily. If I crave chocolate, I have a piece or three, but I don’t have ice cream for dessert after dinner. Instead, I might have some applesauce. It’s little things like that that make a difference. But it’s in no way a quick fix to losing a few pounds. It takes time and a lot of it. It takes NOT getting on a scale every day. And it definitely takes determination and a strong mind, not to mention willpower and NOT depriving yourself of the things you love.
When I decided to lose weight, I didn’t tell anyone. Not even my husband. I wanted to see if I had the wherewithal to achieve any weight loss at all before I shared my progress.
I began at 214 lbs, and I’m now at 199 lbs. It’s taken 6 months to obtain that 15 lbs loss and I feel amazing. And knowing that I didn’t kill myself to achieve it instills in me that I can continue to lose weight without the needless suffering of giving up the foods I love. I have approximately 30 lbs to go, and even if it takes a year or more, I’m confident that I can do this.
So join me. If you too are on a weight loss trek and would like to post encouragement or just your progress, please feel free. Comment if you’d be interested in a Facebook group dedicated to sharing and supporting each other’s weight loss journey.
Thanks again for your time.
