The second volume of the Jen Hunter series is now available. This one is just two novellas that focus on Jen and her friends. I've tried to open the roster of heroes up a little, to show its not just a few characters there all the time. I've also found ways to bring Judy Collins and Hannah Sinclair into this area of the Rachel-verse before I finally sit down to write the long put-off Twisted Tales 2 that will give the two magical protectors of Earth a new menace to take too lightly, misjudge and complain loudly about.
Simmer and Boyle was an idea I seriously considered spinning off to a series of its own, but I like Charity where she is so the team will get a new Simmer and drift off into the distance to do its own thing and Charity will enjoy more of the trials of balancing motherhood and career with the added complications of her hemoglobin-only diet...
I had initially planned for ten Jen Hunter stories, making five volumes of books but I think I'll condense that down to three, making the third book the last in the range, though that doesn't mean she won't appear again, I'm just finding it a difficult genre to write, I much prefer a nice horror story or a weird sci-fi tale to get my imagination fired up.
