Lie to me! (And win an ebook)

A goodly number of people entered the Friday Free for All giveaway last week, but sadly there could be only one winner. So here's a chance to try again, or to try for the first time.

All you have to do is lie. What could be simpler? Fiction writers do it everyday. (Okay, if you must, you may tell the truth.) Here's the specs: in 35 words or less

If you entered the contest on Cup-o-Porn, give me the down and dirty on why you should have been the winner.

If you didn't enter the contest on CoP, tell me why you wanted to but didn't.

Simple, right? As usual, you may enter with a comment here, or on my Wordpress blog or email me at lou(dot)sylvre(at)sylvre(dot)com. (Your email entry will be shown here.)

I'll run the contest for a week, then I'll choose the winner in a completely subjective fashion.

So lie to me, okay? Please.
Oh, and if you already have an ebook of Loving Luki Vasquez and want to lie just for fun, please do.

Beatrice Heh. I'm definitely lying just for fun! *grins*

A reason I wasn't able to enter the contest, apart from owning the book already, was Luki holding me hostage and torturing me for my "inappropriate" questions during last week's interview. Don't worry - his torture wasn't physical, but it still, uhhh, affected me a lot.

So yeah, he and Sonny were kissing and making me watch and it was torturing me because every time I suggested something, they didn't pay me any attention. I couldn't stop watching though. Big and bad distraction made me late to the Cup-o-Porn party and I wasn't able to join in on the fun. *grins*

Lou Sylvre Yay! Beatrice, you're my first liar! Although, I have to say that story sounds suspiciously like the truth... I'm just wondering if you need some kind of special counseling after your ordeal. I mean, the part where they wouldn't do anything you suggested—that's grueling. Were you able to walk out on your own steam, or did Luki have to carry you?

Beatrice ...It might have been the truth, Lou, but I guess you're just not gonna be able to know what the real deal was. ;) Oh man, I definitely need some counseling! The hotness destroyed my brain functions for a couple of minutes and I was left scarred for life!

And no, I only wish that Luki would've carried me out so that I could snuggle up in his strong arms. But alas, I had to drag myself out of there because he and Sonny were, um, a bit busy. I didn't want to disturb them!

Anne Barwell Okay here goes.

Keeping in mind when I tell this tale of woe, that I live in New Zealand. I was intending to enter your last contest but on that particular day the sheep (of which there are loads more than humans) decided to was time to have their say as we're nearing election day. They took over the internet, using it as a political platform, and therefore I was unable to access it to post.

The way in which us locals managed to fight them off is another story, sadly far too long to repeat here.

Lou Sylvre Ha! I may not know, Beatrice, but I can make a pretty darn good guess. But you know, there had to be an upside. Weren't they just beautiful to look upon?

Lou Sylvre Oh, Anne, if I ever heard a good excuse, that's it. I mean, there's one thing you don't ever want to mess with it's a sheep with a political agenda and a keyboard. But do tell the local method for defense against the sheep? The abbreviated version? (And are you lying for fun or potential ebook? (And thanks.)

Anne Barwell Potential ebook as I have yet to procur a copy and things like electrical fuses keep eating into my budget.

Have you ever seen the movie Black Sheep? They had a wonderful way of getting rid of zombie killer were sheep - those these political sheep were quite mild in comparison. Oh and as for defense against sheep...that sounds almost like an acronymn for a top secret organisation, doesn't it? ;)

(and that was a little bit too much fun and stress relief. I totally blame the week I've had for that lapse of sanity)

message 8: by Lou (new)

Lou Sylvre I've never seen that movie, Anne. I guess I'll have to put it on my list, sounds like there's some potentially life-saving information. Frankly I feel son in-the-dark—I had no idea were-sheep existed, much less zombie were-sheep. Yes, DATS(C) (Defense against the sheep) is indeed a top secret government committee.

I'm glad you had fun! You deserved a small break. And you are in the running for an e-book. (-8

Beatrice Lou, yes! I wish I had a camera with me that time because I could've taken so many wonderful pictures. Sonny and Luki are an absolutely beautiful couple, with or without the clothes. :)

Anne, I always knew that sheep were very suspicious. Found this one via a simple Google search:

Lou Sylvre That sheep looks awfully familiar, Beatrice...

Anne Barwell Love the sheep picture, Beatrice. So that's who gets on my laptop when I'm not here. I feel bad now blaming the cats ;)

Sasha Ok so...
Hey Lou,
This may sound as a surprise but I couldn't enter because...... well I'm kinda embarressed to say it, but I live in the Sahara. With my family, 5 brothers and 4 sisters and my parents. And we have one computer with internet on Thursday. And damnit that Thursday I was going home from school and the bridge was open(due to a sandstorm)all night so I couldn't get home in time.
:)

Lou Sylvre Hey, Sasha! Thanks for stopping by to lie. Or tell the truth, maybe... I think I could buy the Sahara part, but I can't quite picture the bridge...

Anyway, very nice tale and I much appreciate it. This contest has ended, but there are opportunities coming up for giveaways/prizes. Delsyn's Blues, the sequel to LLV is coming out January 2nd (OMG that's getting closer all the time), and I'll have some chat's and such going on. I'll post that info here sometime in the next 24 hours, after I gather all the details, and I'll also post it in some other places.

I hope you'll come by and chat one of those time soon, but if you can't make it then, stop by any old time. Thanks again!
