My Time Management Skills

My mind seems to wander off, and googling is so much fun. Imagine looking up useless trivia right there at your fingertips. Checking the song lyrics from my youth is a big distraction. This morning it was "Lemon Tree." Or checking out baseball stats on players of yore. This morning it was Eddie Stanky. Or seeing if prospective book titles have already been claimed. The same deal goes for characters' names.

Wikipedia is the worst of the time wasters for me. I curse it! Sometimes factual stuff needs to be researched. This morning, for instance, I discovered the steel ramp with rails used to board a cruise liner is called a "gangway." Here I thought it was a "gangplank." But then I turn back to the WIP in front of me on my laptop, and I chug on a little more ways, and my projects get done. This is why I can never blog about neat timesaving tips unless I make up the stuff.
