Other stuff - I was recently invited to read at 'Fife Writes: http://www.fifewrites.co.uk/ which was great fun. For several years I performed poetry at venues in Edinburgh, but stopped when I began to focus more on novel writing. A gap of about 8 years. I was a little nervous to start with but fell back into 'performance mode' quite quickly. Partisan and supportive audience, but the applause was genuine and much appreciated.
