A non-native speaker does his best to speak English fluently without getting the right direction. He also wants to participate in meetings, discussions, and other conversations and having failed to talk confidently he starts losing his confidence. He might declare that learning English is not his cup of tea.

One cannot expect a person to drive a car who does not know how to hold the steering or gear.

One needs to understand and apply many nuances of effective communication to speak better English; to substantiate my point, a beginner needs small topics to understand and practice English. One also needs intensive listening practice to have a good command of a language.
