In one chapter, there are some pesky geese that the Rocky-Top Rover must drive away from the family picnic. Later, he encounters a staring gator in the Atchafalaya swamp in Louisiana. He meets a new pal in Texas named Stony & finally discovers his purpose in going on the trip! The three syllable words are divided in this book to help young readers learn to read new vocabulary.
