Busy Day Tomorrow

Question: Is there a way for me to post a quick update without using the 'blog' function? For example, I'm deciding between writing a short story tomorrow or reading Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

That's all.

I don't know where the Harry Potter thing came from. I just looked at my book shelf and that's what called out. lol. Guess I want something familiar.

Possible short story: How's this for a title... The Werewolf Billionaire Lives in a Library! (With exclamation point.)

It started out as a silly, satirical romance, but then a serial killer showed up and there's dead bodies everywhere, so it looks like our shy/nerdy billionaire werewolf is going to reluctantly become the sidekick of a beat reporter. Or something? Also, I don't read werewolf/shifter books, so I have a feeling this might end up as a noir-ish murder mystery.

I haven't written a murder mystery in over two years! I think my subconscious is ready to be unleashed.

This year I'm setting aside one day out of every nine to completely disconnect from IJUH/GR/Amazon/writing pressure. One of those freedays is tomorrow and the crazy ideas are flowing and flowing and flowing. Oops. Now I'm not going to be able to sleep.

What are your thoughts on a werewolf crime-solving billionaire? Maybe I'll spend the day captioning silly animal gifs/videos on Twitter with captions from It's Just Us Here: The Friend.

If you want to help me find cute, relevant twitter stuff (make me laugh!), join me @cheese_sullivan. I'm only going to be on twitter for cute, non-political, non-news stuff and it's only going to be on my Freeday.

See ya around,
Book Two comes out in thirteen days!
Also, in preparation for the Freeday tomorrow, I updated the Amazon pre-order for Book Two so that stuff is completely off my plate. Next I'm working on Patreon special copies then I tackle my editor's comments for Book Three.

Happy Polar Vortex, (It is currently -20 degrees F outside! Ah!)

I'll definitely try it!

Leaf of Absence I'm not sure how author pages look - but on my normal plebean account, on the Home page, left side.... actuallyn nevermind --> here's a thread with a picture, much better:

LOL. If Christopher doesn't manage to convert you, there's no hope, Gabi. :D

It sounds great, apart from the billionaire part. :P
If he must, can't he 'simply' be rich without being so-rich-you-loose-touch-with-reality rich?

Also, if you don't do it tomorrow, your next Freeday you should definitely read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. ;)

I always have an open mind, when I try new things. All is not lost! :D

I was thinking the same. He can be a billionaire, but don't let him flaunt his wealth. I mean, it's up to you, Chris. I think you could write about an asshole billionaire and still make us like him. :) Maybe he should own the library! Ha! lol

Xia and the Giant TBR Great! I don't like werewolves, I don't like mysteries and I don't like billionaire books. Bring it! If Chris manages to convert me then I can read many of Elena's favorites <3

LOL.
Let the record show that I don't have any favorites with billionaire MCs (unless Chris is secretly a billionaire).
I can start a list for mysteries and werewolves, though, just say the word when you're ready. ;)

Christopher Sullivan Hahaahahahahah!

It turned a little into Batman before I knew what was happening. So our reluctant librarian werewolf is financially set (but since it's now set back in maybe the eighties, he probably isn't a billionaire) and spends his days combing through local newspapers in the hopes of finding a match for the assassin/serial killer who did in his parents. So his super-skill is maintaining a vast library of unusual killings, which is what draws our investigator to him. He also is a hidden, lonely werewolf.

I read Half-blood Prince. I didn't remember it being so boarding-school heavy. She literally has a mini-mystery hook in each chapter. Also I saw a lot of set up for Dumbledore's prequel. I assume that's what the Fantastic Beasts is all about? I think on the next Freeday I'll watch the first Beasts movie and see if I like it. I never managed to finish a single Harry Potter movie, but Beasts might be different.

The second one is the Crimes of Grindewald... so it's gotta be about building up to the big fight between him and Dumbledore, right? Is it worth my time?

Xia and the Giant TBR On Crimes of Grindewald, it focuses on building the fight but since you didn't like the HP movies, I don't know if you will like Fantastic Beasts.

annob [on hiatus] Really looking forward to experience the lonely Batman non-billionaire werewolf story *grins*

annob [on hiatus] Haha, you know me too well! We clearly have to buddy read this thing, Corinne!
