I would be over the moon if Saoirse Ronan played Ivy. She matched her physically but also seems to share the quippy wit that Ivy has. Plus, she's ridden horses in her role as Mary Queen of Scots.

For Max, John Krasinski would be perfection! He looks a lot like my husband and is of Polish (like my hubby) and Irish descent. His mannerisms and sense of humour are also bang on!
