I usually combine reading and building a fire. When I get home I usually build a fire, retire to my favorite chair, tune to one of my Pandora stations and read for at least an hour. It tends to ease my transition from work mode to home mode.
Having two warm, loveable dogs curling up at my feet helps drain the blahs away too. The loveable wife is also a bonus.
My dad loved westerns. I got him zane gray books and louis l'amour books and max brand books from the library until his eyesight and alzheimers got so bad he could not focus on the story. who is your favorite author in this genre?

I like James Reasoner, Elmore Leonard, and Ed Gorman among living authors. Thanks for the comment and question.
