Happy Occasions and Copy-edits

At the New Mexico Book Awards dinner recently in Albuquerque I was very honored to discover that THE FAERIE HILLS had been selected "Best Historical Novel 2011". It was a fun evening; I shared a table with Alice Duncan, who has written numerous mysteries and actually edited FAERIE HILLS, Robert Kresge, author of the Warbonnet mysteries set in 1870s Wyoming, and Margaret Tessler, author of THE TANGLED WEB, as well as our nearests and dearests.

The next morning I went to an e-books seminar, mostly folks my age (baby boomers). I guess the young don't need seminars to understand e-books! I've been fumbling my way through the process of making the first Muirteach MacPhee mystery, A MASS FOR THE DEAD, available as an e-book, and hope to have that process completed in the near future; the seminar was instructive and reaffirming--I am learning something through this process! Copy-edits are completed and I'm awaiting the final files from the formatter.
