I returned from a cruise last week and came back well-rested and well-read. Sometimes, there’s so much focus on doing things on vacation that I think we forget that taking time away from our busy lives to do the things we love most: (*ahem* reading) is an option as well. On that note, here are 4 Restful Vacations for Readers.

4 Restful Vacations for Readers

Vacations for readers #1: A cruise or beach vacation

Reading by the pool or while listening to the sound of the crashing surf is so utterly relaxing. Just don’t become so lost in your reading that you forget to apply sunscreen!

I love cruises. Royal Caribbean is probably my favorite cruiseline. (Not an affiliate

Vacations for readers #2: Stay at a tiny house resort

I love the idea of going somewhere small and intimate so that the world quietly narrows down to just you and your book.

Vacations for readers #3: Stay in a CASTLE

This applies especially if you’re a fantasy reader. I can’t imagine many things cooler than staying in a place where the atmosphere meshes so perfectly with the book you’re reading

Vacations for readers #4: Book a ski resort and stay inside by the fire

Picture this: the weather outside is frightful. But the fire and your book are so delightful. I really just love the concept of getting cozy and cuddling up with your book.

Each of these are officially on my bookish bucket list, but I want to know what’s on yours, so tell me: where would you relax with YOUR book?
