In February, I started the third book in the Fractured Souls series and I’m happy to report that we have hit and surpassed the halfway point! I’d hoped to have the first draft completed by now and out to the Beta Readers, but my life has been thrown into a blender with some unexpected medical complications. With very little effort, I broke my 5th Metatarsal in my left foot and on the same side, my Malleolus ankle bone. I could make up some long and amazing story about how it happened, but it was literally just a rogue hug gone very, very wrong. SO wrong that it required surgery. So now, one week out from being sliced, pinned, plated, screwed, and sewn back together, I’m still struggling with having a clear head and mind to be able to write (or do anything besides binge watch The Great British Baking Show). But I’m hoping when my sutures are out, things will get better in the brain section. I don’t want to rush it though, because then Braidan may do something she (and I) regret.
