My day at the Airport

Morning everyone, yesterday I told you about our train ride and how fun the whole experience was. Let’s continue at the Toronto airport or at least on the way, do you remember how much stuff we had? We had three 50 pound suitcases, 3 carry ons, a 50 pound box, 2 cats and a dog and no direction among any of us. Oh and I forgot about the pet stroller ( my puppy can only walk so far ) LOL.

We managed to get all our stuff out to the taxi stand but none of the taxis would take us with so much stuff so we had to split it up into two taxis, which makes me wonder how the heck did the big family ever do this? Clearly I can’t be the only one who could have fit all that in the back of the van, but anyway we split up, and met at the airport.

The airport was huge, and not very interesting. I have always believed that it should represent the place, so that tourists can see if it is somewhere they would like to visit but this one didn’t. First we had to get our tickets printed and purchase the pet tickets, I had all the paperwork done so this was the easy part. Leo is a service dog so he gets to fly free but not before he gets checked out by all the flight attendants and pilots, I guess that’s the price of being so cute.

We had 6 hours till our flight left and do you think we could find a seat, my knees were killing me and I think the airport had around 20 seats in total. We went up and down the airport searching for a place to sit so many times, it took almost an hour till a kind man gave us his seats. For such a huge airport you would think they could afford a seating area. I have done a lot of flying and this airport would be at the bottom of my ranking for comfort.

What I did find good about it was the costumer service, the ticket agents and the costume were very good and kind as we got everything complete for our flight. Our flight was with Air France and that’s the next story I will tell.
