You guys, I cannot tell you how much I'm enjoying writing Enter the Witch for my newsletter subscribers. (If you haven't signed up but would like to, you can do it here.) When I was asked to join the Summer Beach Free Read, I hesitated--I hate deadlines. One each week for 15 weeks?! My inner procrastinator said, "Oh, hell nahw." But my critique partner, Marquita Valentine, was more pushy than I was reluctant (don't look at me like that, Q, you know you are). So, I agreed.And I am so glad that I did, because I'm LOVING Evangeline and Shane. Sure, I would have written them anyway, but the weekly deadline keeps me moving--sometimes with explicit words--and motivated. Not only do I feel an immense responsibility to my readers to complete the promised chapter, but I LOVE the feedback I get each week! You guys make me want to write faster! So I guess this post is a thank you, to you, my readers, who stick with me each week, give me your feedback, and fill me with excitement to keep writing.
