What if, one day, the law ceased to exist, and all that remained were the mobs and their petty excuses to take what they wanted?
What if love and compassion gave way to greed and desperation?
What if everyone left claimed your faith was useless, even if it kept you alive and sane?

Faith and love are among the most valuable parts of anyone, so long as they are offered rather than forced. No matter what the excuse, rhyme, or reason, the best you can do is be there for those in need and do your best for them. There is always a risk that someone you let in will abuse your good will, but sometimes, when all else fails, taking that chance is all you can do. Let God do the rest.
