Gremlins in my Files

I hoped to send "Panama and Beyond" to Amazon for publication by May 1, errors cropped up in figure numbering and the Table of Contents. Figures (mostly photos) would randomly re-number, like # 18, 19, 20, 21, and then back to 18, or #78 suddenly back to 23. The TOC showed two items beginning on the same page, and when we corrected that it went back to the same error when we saved the file. My editor said she now believes her computer had resident gremlins--and she finally banished them. So the manuscript is almost ready--I'm awaiting her confirmation that the photos have kept the proper resolution in the PDF file.

I'm hoping to have a copy for my Other Half for his July 1 birthday, although official launch date is now July 10.

Maybe I should have a contest for illustrations of computer gremlins.... I'll think about it.
