Being an author, you get exposed to haters. Unfortunately, it's part of the job description. They come in many different pathetic shapes and sizes, readily spewing out their holier-then-thou complaints and mind-numbing disappointments. They pop up when you least suspect them, sort of like a thistle on a swim beach. You know them when you see them. They couldn't personally write their way out of a paper bag, but that doesn't stop them from being the cowards they are, all safe and smug behind the anonymous little keyboards they hide behind. They're the people no one talks to at the cocktail party.

The absolute lowest snake belly of a hater is the one who follows an author around from book to book, doesn't even buy or read the book (you won't see the 'verified purchase"), and zings that author with a 1-star whammy. They know it will hurt sales. You can almost see the pursing of their thin little lips and the narrowing of their dark beady eyes as they click the send button.

You know if you're a hater or not, and if you are, I have a simple request for you; please don't read or purchase my books. They were not written for you. I personally don't want to share them with you.

Believe it or not, it's not my job to save you from your own miserable life.
