So what have I been doing lately? Well, I’ve been taking my dog to classes (agility and competition obedience), and I’ve been knitting socks.

Oh, and I’ve been writing! I’ve started a new series, have two books written and working on the third, with a notion of what book four will be. For this series, I’m leaving Regency romance, sticking with the Regency but adding MAGIC.

Are you a Pride and Prejudice fan? Of course you are! But did it always sort of irk you that the bookworm character was such a … drip? Well, it irked me. Let’s face it, these days, if you’re a P&P fan, you’re probably the bookworm of your local circle of friends and family. Don’t you just want to get in there and FIX Mary? So that’s what I’ve done. (I hope that doesn’t bring down on me the wrath of the Janeites. I’m just – refurbishing her a bit. She’s still quite the pedant, I assure you!)

So I’ve begun a series I’ve titled Regency Mage. I describe it as “Pride and Prejudice with a Harry Potter twist”.) In the first book, Mary Bennet, cataloging the library at Bingley’s new estate, finds a book of magic! And so begin her magical adventures, in Mary Bennet and the Bingley Codex.

Coming in August, Mary Bennet and the Wickham Artifact.

And in process and I HOPE to publish in 2019, Mary Bennet and the Beast of Rosings Park, and Mary Bennet and the Shades of Pemberley.
