This month's question (optional to use): Of all the genres you read and write, which is your favorite to write in and why?

I'm currently working on a couple of projects that I'm thrilled to write. They fall within the contemporary genre, real-life situations that unfold via story telling. However, my heart is steeped with a love for Narnia, Middle Earth, Hogwarts, and the otherworldly. Take me to the stars. Let us inhabit the moon. Or intrigue my imagination with the story of the cataclysmic after. Beacon, my book published through Evernight Teen, is an example of my love for reading and writing fantasy/speculative fiction unfolding in the tale of a teenage girl whose life is turned upside down once she stumbles into a truth about herself and the barely-held-together-world around her.
