Author To Author

I’m all for supporting other authors. It's tough being an indie author. At my job, my new manager is a published author who has written two(possibly more) cookbooks. I finally saw them today & the appearance of the 2 cookbooks was pitiful. She doesn’t cook at all and she never washes her hands. Worse of all, when I tell her I want/need time off to work on my own books, she doesn’t want to give me time off. Instead, all she does is try to convince me; I need to be working rather than writing. Yet, I don’t need money! As a published author, I care more about my books than I ever will about a part-time job. I don’t care about the money either. I don’t care who you are, don’t encourage somebody that’s working on their dreams to change their path to something that is not meant for them.
