My son is a jobbing musician in Melbourne. He tends to travel around a lot for work, gigging at weddings, restaurants, family parties and the like.

This weekend saw him travel down at Sorrento, a suburb south of the city and looks out onto the ocean. He sent me a text showing a favorite spot of his, at a cafe just along the seafront.

This is the image (above ) of the view he had. Inspired by this gorgeous scene, I wrote a haiku poem:

Sorrento

In the bright sunlight

spot the brilliant ocean spray

A perfect palette.
