But it hasn't gotten much traction. Maybe it's the cover, the medieval setting, the title, the first chapter?
It's probably not the price, which is the same as all of Badger's longer works.

Thanks, Erik, for paying me my favorite compliment. And for spending time with my less popular works. I do try hard to mix things up. One marker of success for me, oddly enough, is when people who like reading me reveal there's one book they really didn't like. It's always a different book.
One of the things I admire about your work is the wide diversity of settings and approaches used, while still retaining a distinctive style.
I was happy to read Dry Essence and find out it was a continuation, of sorts. Another great book, by the way!
