Working Weekend

Just back from a great - and productive - meeting with my dear friend, Joni Ravenna - the amazing playwright and actress whose magnificent home in Corona Del Mar provided a stunning backdrop and surrounded us with a quiet and peacefulness that was palpable. We worked most of Saturday and then on Sunday morning, she and her husband invited me to go on a boat ride in the harbor. I had no idea we would have the sleek boat all to ourselves and they showed me all the fabulous houses that belonged to icon stars such as John Wayne and Claire Trevor. All in all - a perfect way to spend a weekend.
We were working on an adaptation of my book Letters to My Husband for the stage as a possible one-woman show.
For those who do not know, Joni Ravenna is an established playwright, producer, actress, and on-camera personality and interviewer. She and I have been friends ever since she heard me speak at a Palm Springs Women in Film luncheon soon after I built my house in Palm Desert - and having seen a number of her plays - and productions - I'm a fan !
Stay tuned for progress reports on the adaptation.
