Captive: Coming Soon!

It’s official! I’ve just sent Captive: An Akasha Series Character Profile off to my editor! When she’s done banging her head against her keyboard and works her magic, I will be putting up the first five chapters of Captive on my website. Just like with the first two books, the first chapter is free, but to get the password for the other four you have to sell me your soul. You know the rules, kiss the crossroads demon, present the tongue in a box (species of your choice), light some cat urine incense, and then perform your polished ventriloquist act. Then, to officially seal the deal, subscribe to my blog and a password will be sent along with the welcome message. You totally have to do that other stuff first though, so, you know, just do it. And take pictures.
Once you’ve got access you’ll be given the first glimpse of Captive! Everyone who signs up (and does that other stuff) also is entered to win a chance to read the entire first companion novella before its release this fall. So get on that! You can sign up on the landing page or maybe I’ll figure out a way to put it at the end of this blog post. Scroll down to see if I succeeded.
What is Captive, you ask?
Captive is the first companion novella in the Akasha Series. There will be several character profiles in this series, which will dissect certain characters and their motivations. The first one is devoted to Finn, the affable train station employee that crosses the Damuzi twins path in both Passage and Kindred. This novella is an opportunity to learn more about the Akasha world from a different perspective, as well as challenge readers to confront a very harsh reality: we can never truly know anyone.
So sign up and be the first to read it! Captive will release as an e-book this fall. Stay tuned!
