“Lana.” “Hmm?” It was all I could muster now. “Are we going to spend the rest of your birthday in bed?” Joe’s voice was low and close to my ear.


“I thought that was the plan.”


“Not sleeping,” he clarified.


“We can’t have been sleeping that long,” I mumbled, unwilling to open my eyes.


“We left the club after one, remember?”


“Exactly.”
