Technology and me

Okay. I set out today to post a short blog with a photo quote from my upcoming book, Before the Dawn, followed by some discussion of the London Blitz in World War II, and I was going to end it by adding a link to a book of maps on the subject that I, being something of a map nerd, am going to add to my 'to read' list.

That was approximately seven hours ago. And you'll probably notice that there is no short blog with a photo quote and Blitz talk.

It took me about ten minutes to read the article and get the idea, then ten minutes to write it. Another five minutes to find the other book and add it to the blog.

The other six hours and fifteen minutes I've been trying to put in the photo.

Technology and I are not good friends. Well, really, we're barely acquaintances. If they taught school the way I learn things on the internet, they'd set you down in a class with all the books and lectures and discussions scattered all over the room and hidden under desks and behind other books. Oh--and the kids in the class who know the subject speak only Ancient Greek.

I think I finally figured it out, but that's going to have to wait for another day.
