Mr. Henderson, I am an avid reader of your work. As a working-class African American writer, I appreciate the nuance of your descriptions, the familiarity of your characters, and the amount of work and heart that would go into such layered and vivid narratives.
Since I haven't seen any new books from you, I am concerned that perhaps you have "retired" from fiction, for whatever reason.
I truly hope this is not the case, as your words have inspired and entertained, an audience that (honestly) deserves to be much larger.
