Zombie Fallout 12: Dog Days
Written by Mark Tufo
Narrated by Sean Runnette
So I’ve made it. Installment 12 of the Zombie Fallout series. It’s literally the longest running book series I’ve ever read. And there’s another one coming... Wow! I will never grow weary of these books. If you haven’t jumped aboard the bandwagon, you really need to check out Mark Tufo’s Zombie Fallout series. For today, it’s book 12: Dog Days. #element-67a3f6f7-9ad1-46cd-a58e-f2f047acc753 .waddons-blog-image.hideImage { display: none;}
So our ragtag crew have made it to Etna Station, a military facility that only accepts people who can provide services to keep the location functional. Unfortunately for the Talbot family, Mike has to sorta re-enlist and serve in order to stay and he’s already pissed off a few in command, mostly a major. So when Mike and his team of soldiers are sent into a major city, enveloped in zombies of all sorts, they find themselves in deep kimshe.
The zombies are changing again; with the assistance of some unlikely fellows. How is this happening and are the zombies receiving human assistance? Why? And can Mike and his crew make it out of the city and get back home to their loved ones, unscathed, and avoid being booted out of Etna Station?
So that’s a real crap blurb of what this book is about, but I can’t really tell more. Yes, it's a zompoc tale, but I’m not like some of those other reviewers, who give away all the details that reader's should discover on their own. When you find out Mike and the gang are deployed into such an off situation, you’re shocked. When things start happening -the serious stuff - you’re blown away! It’s crazy amazing!
To me, ZF 12: Dog Days was much better than book 11. The action was heavy and the advancement of the story and evolution of the zombies was incredible. I was concerned, thinking things may fizzle out after so much time, but I was wrong.
A favorite character is lost and a few others, that I wasn’t attached to but were good, died as well. The new stuff was good and I felt even more attached to everyone. Everyone except Deneaux, that is. She’s one of those people you hate but enjoy reading their shenanigans. She still has a stake in this story; I wonder what she’ll be up to next? And where does she get all those cigarettes!
I’ve been with Mark Tufo since the release of book three. That’s when I found him and bought the previous book and caught up, so that's since 2011! Can you believe it? You have to admit, if you follow an author for five years or more, they’re a keeper. That’s how this series is. Tufo’s got other book series, and in my opinion all are great and fun (except the Indian Hill books).
So check out Zombie Fallout 12: Dog Days- heck, check out the entire series. The books are great and offer up a fun adventure! Cheers!
